There'll be some very proud Israelis watching the Boeing 717-200 in the flying display - the entire undercarriage is made by the SHL division of Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI). SHL has so far delivered 15 landing gear systems for the 100-seat airliner, having been awarded the contract in 1998. The company is part of the Boeing 717 world-class design and production supplier team and is the sole source for the landing gear system.
