The Bahraini aviation authorities, assisted by the US National Transportation and Safety Board, are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash of a Gulf Air Airbus A320 at Bahrain International Airport on 23 August. Flight GF072 crashed into the sea after a missed approach and subsequent go around. All 143 passengers and crew on the aircraft were killed. Information from the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder provides no evidence of aircraft malfunction so far.
