Airbus has landed more than 1,000 firm orders for its re-engined A320neo after booking several agreements in its October 2011 figures, including landmark deals for Qantas and JetBlue Airways.
The airframer said it had taken the A320neo firm order total to 1,058 by 31 October.
Qantas Airways' order for 110 Airbus A320s in October helped lift the airframer's gross order total to 1,372 aircraft for 2011.
The Qantas agreement includes 78 of the re-engined A320neo, and counted towards total orders for 193 aircraft for Airbus last month.
Airbus's net order figure reached 1,231 after a buoyant October in which the manufacturer also firmed deals for 26 A320s and six A321s - of which 22 are re-engined variants - from Brazil's TAM, and 40 A320neos from JetBlue Airways.
Gross orders for A320-family aircraft have reached 1,257 in the first 10 months of the year.
Lufthansa's two additional A380s, plus a single A330-300, were among the widebody orders for the month, along with Air Pacific's three A330-200s.
Airbus had delivered 418 aircraft by the end of October, one more than it achieved at the same point in 2010. The deliveries in October included three A380s - two to Emirates and one to China Southern Airlines - bringing the total in service to more than 60.
