US aviation services company AAR has cinched a deal with Virgin America for installation of seats, in-flight entertainment and heavy maintenance on the carrier's expanding fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft.
AAR will carry out D-Checks on Virgin America's Airbus narrowbodies at its facility in Miami, Florida. Additionally, the deal includes installation of seats and advanced in-flight entertainment systems on the carrier's new-delivery aircraft.
AAR purchased Miami-based Avborne in 2008 to gain a foothold into Airbus heavy maintenance. It also offers narrowbody maintenance from its facilities in Indianapolis and Oklahoma City.
