Acquisitions in the logistics and repair management sector will be the order of the day, says an industry financial report by Smith Barney. The report charts a spate of acquisitions, such as Kellstrom's acquisition of IASI, the Greenwich acquisition of UNC and the subsequent General Electric acquisition of both Greenwich and UNC. The trend was started by UNC in 1996 when it acquired Garrett, says the report. It indicates the pattern is likely to continue, citing Aviation Sales Company as a business to watch in the acquisitions arena.
