Aerocomp says it will begin taking orders for its Comp Air Jet kit aircraft at the Sun 'n' Fun show in Lakeland, Florida in April. The move will coincide with the completion of the $400,000 single-engined aircraft's 40h flight-test programme. The Merritt Island, Florida-based company, which also produces the Compair range of piston- and turboprop-single kits, expects strong demand for the eight- seat aircraft. It plans to develop a certificated version in the next two years.
