Aeroflot's board has agreed the lease of three new Boeing 777-300ER deliveries under a 12-year sale-and-leaseback transaction.
The Russian flag carrier ordered eight aircraft of the type in February 2011 and signed for another eight in 2012. The first four aircraft, delivered in 2013, were mandated to VEB-Leasing under 12-year finance lease contracts.
Flightglobal's Ascend Fleets database shows that another batch of deliveries in 2014 were also mandated to Vnecheconombank's leasing arm.
Another four-aircraft batch was mandated to GECAS, with deliveries scheduled for next year.
Three other aircraft under a sale-and-leaseback transaction are also set to deliver in 2016, Flightglobal's Ascend Fleets database shows.
Next month, Aeroflot is to take delivery of a new 777-300ER. That aircraft is the last under a three-unit sale-and-leaseback deal with Russian state-owned lessor GTLK.
