Aeroflot has taken delivery of a full-flight simulator for the Sukhoi Superjet 100, installed at its Moscow Sheremetyevo base.
It is the third Superjet simulator, developed by L3, to become available for pilot training following similar installations at Moscow Zhukovsky and Superjet International's facility in Venice.
Aeroflot will start training pilots on the device this month, says Sukhoi's civil aircraft division. To date the airline's crews have been trained at Zhukovsky.
"The experience gained through the [simulator] operations proved that this training system is one of the best in its class," says Sukhoi civil aircraft president Andrey Kalinovsky.
Ten Superjet 100s are in service with Aeroflot, although the twinjets will be gradually swapped out for newer and differently-configured versions.
