Aeromist receives An-140

The second production Antonov An-140 has been delivered to Aeromist-Kharkov Airlines. The52-seater, on lease from lessor UkrTransLizing, was handed to the Ukrainian carrier by the Kharkov production plant. Meanwhile, the first An-140, which entered revenue service with Odessa Airlines in March, is demonstrating an average cruise fuel-consumption of 610kg/h (1,340lb/h) on the 1,450km (780nm) sector from Odessa to Aleppo in Syria. The third An-140 is due for delivery to Donetsk Airlines early next month, and five more should be handed over by year-end, all to Ukrainian operators.
