Aeronavali, a division of Alenia, has received a contract from United Airlines for the conversion of four McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30CFs to full cargo configuration for the airline's new all-cargo services to Asia. The first two aircraft will be redelivered in March 1997, with the second batch following in September. The work will involve the re-activating of the cargo doors, and the installation of a strengthened floor and freight interior.
