GA Telesis’ MRO unit will cooperate with Liebherr-Aerospace to provide landing gear repair and overhaul for Embraer E-jet operators in the Americas.
The agreement will see GA Telesis receive technical support and original materials from Liebherr-Aerospace, which manufactures the landing gear on the E-Jet family. GA Telesis adds that MRO services will be carried out at its Miami facility.
“The company has an experienced team of technicians that have previously worked on the E-Jet Family landing gears,” GA Telesis adds.
The aviation services company began landing gear repair and overhauls in 2019. Among its customers is Chinese carrier China Express, which sends its Bombardier CRJ900s to Miami for landing gear overhaul work.
Apart from manufacturing landing gears for the E-Jet family, Liebherr-Aerospace also produces flight control and air management systems for the regional jet programme. It is also a supplier for Chinese airframer Comac for the C919 narrowbody programme, as well as for Boeing’s 777X programme, among others.
