Aerospatiale has won a contract from Eutelsat to build a fourth Eutelsat W communications satellite. Three similar satellites were ordered in 1995. The Spacebus 3000-series craft, with 32 high-power Ku-band transponders, will be launched in 1999. Aerospatiale has delivered its fifth Spacebus 3000 satellite, the Sinosat 1, to the German-Chinese EuraSpace consortium.
