Romanian MRO provider Aerostar has added new customers for its 737 heavy maintenance services.
Since March, four of Russian carrier UTair's Boeing 737-500s have undergone C-checks at Aerostar's Bacau facility, which has processed 35 aircraft this year.
Heavy maintenance was also carried out on a 737NG operated by TUIfly Germany, which joined other members of the TUIfly group in using Aerostar.
Originally a military specialist, Aerostar drove its civil manufacturing and maintenance sales to half of total turnover in 2014 and increased net profit a quarter to €4.4 million ($4.9 million).
