AgustaWestland has delivered two AW139s to Moroccan helicopter services company Heliconia Aero Solutions.
The first of thePratt & Whitney Canada PT6C-67C-powered types has entered service providing offshore transportation services in North Africa. It will be joined later this week by the second aircraft. Heliconia also has options for a further two AW139s.
Meanwhile, the Italian airframer hassold a VIP-configured AW139 intermediate twin to an undisclosed North American customer.
The sale brings the total number of AW139s sold to VIP and corporate transport customers to 19, AgustaWestland says.
The company has clinched nearly 790 orders for the AW139 to date from more than 200 customers worldwide. Almost 700 units are in service, and the global fleet recently surpassed 1 million flight hours.
