Air China has received the first of 11 Boeing 737-800s it has on order.
The Chinese flag carrier will operate it on regional services alongside its 19 737-300s.
Beijing-based Air China is a major Boeing customer, operating more than 50 examples, including 737s, 747s, 767s and 777s.
Hainan Airlines was the first Chinese carrier to take the 737-800 and operates four examples. China Southwest and Wuhan also have the aircraft on order.
