Air France is in the market with a request for proposal for JOLCO financing covering one Airbus A320 aircraft, say sources.
Last month, the airlines signed an agreement with Air Lease Corporation (ALC) covering sale and lease-back agreements on a total of six narrowbody and widebody aircraft.
The operating lessor is acquiring three used aircraft as well as three new aircraft from the French carrier. Among the aircraft is a one new Boeing 777-300ER, which is scheduled for delivery to Air France in December this year.
ALC is also acquiring two new Airbus A320-200s that are scheduled for delivery in early 2011.
The three used aircraft, one A319-100, one A321-200 and one A330-200, were delivered to Air France at 30 June.
Air France-KLM generated €161 million in the first quarter through aircraft disposals. This compares with €507 million at the end of the first quarter of 2009.
Cash and cash equivalents totalled €4.09 billion while other current assets amounted to €1 billion.
Air France-KLM ended the quarter with €1.1 billion in available credit facilities, down from €1.2 billion in the year-earlier period.
