Air France will deploy its fourth Airbus A380 on the Paris-Tokyo Narita route from 1 September.
The carrier will operate the route three times a week until 5 October, when the service will become daily. Flight AF276 will depart from Paris at 13:30, and flight AF275 will leave Tokyo at 11:50.
Air France already operates up to five daily flights between Tokyo, Osaka and Paris using Airbus A340-300, A330-200 and Boeing 777 aircraft.
Air France also operates A380 flights to Johannesburg and New York JFK, and recently announced that it would deploy one of the 538-seat aircraft on the Paris-London Heathrow route to prevent the jet from sitting idle between sectors.
