Air India has moved a major step closer to securing final government approval for a planned order for up to 68 Boeing aircraft that it wants to start receiving next year. The Public Investment Board has cleared the proposal, which covers up to 50 777s and 787s and 18 737-800s. It will now be sent to the cabinet committee on economic affairs for consideration.
