US lessor Air Lease has ordered another Airbus A330-200, taking its commitment to the type to 10 aircraft.
Airbus has disclosed the order – which was sealed after the Paris air show, during which Air Lease had agreed to take an A350 and four A320-family jets – in its latest backlog data.
The backlog also shows that Indonesian carrier Lion Air has converted nine Airbus A320s to the re-engined A320neo version.
It takes Lion Air’s A320neo orders to 118 aircraft, along with 65 A321neos.
Airbus revealed the conversion as it formally recorded a number of agreements unveiled at the Paris show.
It booked a deal from lessor GECAS for 60 aircraft, confirming that it comprises 45 A320neo and 15 A321neo jets.
Airbus firmed an order for 50 aircraft, including 20 A330-300s, from lessor IAFC – all of the jets will be taken by Saudia, with the A330s configured as the high-density regional version.
It also included in the June backlog data the nine A320-family aircraft collectively ordered by Peach Aviation and VietJet.
Airbus’s figures for the month show that it booked five aircraft for Air Lease, although not the same five disclosed at Paris. The Air Lease aircraft include a single A350-900, two A320s, an A321 and the additional A330-200.
The activity has taken Airbus’s first-half net order total to 348 aircraft, including 32 A330s, 25 A330neos and a single A350.
Airbus has delivered 304 jets in the six months to 30 June. Among the aircraft handed over were four A350s – to Qatar Airways and Vietnam Airlines – and 13 A380s.
