Air New Zealand will cut three ATR 72-500s from its fleet of nine this year after advertising them for sale.
Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that the carrier has started to market three turboprops (MSNs 703, 632 and 598) with availability in June, July and November. The aircraft were built between 1999 and 2003.
The carrier tells FlightGlobal that the sales are in accordance with its plans to standardise its regional fleet around the 29 ATR 72-600s it has in service and on order.
Fleets Analyzer shows that it operates 17 ATR 72-600s, and has a further 12 on order. Those remaining aircraft will be delivered progressively by the end of June 2020.
