Australia’s Pel-Air Aviation has entered into a 10-year contract with New South Wales (NSW) Ambulance to provide patient transport services.
The contract, which commences January 2022, will see Pel-Air provide five fixed-wing aircraft, pilots and engineering support to support NSW Ambulance’s operations to rural communities in the Australian state.
Cirium fleets data indicates Pel-Air, which is owned by regional operator Regional Express, has a fleet of 11 aircraft, including three Saab 340As and four Beechcraft King Air 200s turboprops.
Pel-Air has also been providing similar services to the state of Victoria. The contract with Ambulance Victoria was extended last year, until 2023.
