Russia's SuperJet International has signed Indian MRO firm Air Works to be the authorized service partner for the Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft in India.
"Under the agreement, Air Works will perform the maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the SSJ100 aircraft series at its MRO facility in Hosur, near Bangalore," says Air Works.
In Hosur, Air Works has one hangar capable of housing two ATR 72 sized aircraft or one narrowbody aircraft. It plans to invest up to $40 million building an additional wide body hangar, a paint operation, and future engine and components MRO facilities, its says.
