AirAsia has won the rights awarded by the Malaysia Aviation Commission (MAVCOM) to launch three new services to China in December.
MAVCOM states that AirAsia was cleared to operate flights from Kota Kinabalu to Kunming and Guiyang, as well as a Penang-Guangzhou service.
Malindo Air is also cleared to launch services from Kota Kinabalu-Jinan in December, as well as Kota Kinabalu-Miri and Kuching-Miri in January 2019.
Meanwhile, AirAsia was awarded additional traffic rights for six routes while Malindo Air was awarded additional traffic rights for two.
At the same time, Malindo Air returned traffic rights for five routes, mainly on routes to China.
