Airbus has received US FAA approval for its new cockpit security door to be fitted on its family of narrowbody aircraft. It follows European Joint Aviation Authorities' (JAA) certification by two months.
From August, Airbus is offering the new doors as standard for its narrowbody family and will also have available conversion kits for aircraft already in service priced at $23,000.
