Airbus is set to secure gross orders for more than 800 aircraft this year, a revised forecast from parent company EADS shows.
EADS had previously put the forecast at 700.
But it says that, based on the current order intake of 514 by the end of April and "strong" commercial activity, it expects the gross figure to be "comfortably above" the 800 mark.
By the end of April the airframer had landed 477 gross orders for the A320 family plus 35 for the A350, as well as two A330s. Airbus had taken net orders for 493 jets.
