Airbus' gross aircraft sales have topped the 300 mark, two-thirds of the way through the year, with the net figure reaching 250 for the first eight months of 2010.
The airframer's latest backlog data shows it experienced a quiet period in August, the month following the Farnborough Air Show, with sales of just 15 jets - although 11 of these were A330s for Thai Airways and lessor CIT.
It secured orders for four other aircraft, all A319s for private customers. Its gross sales total for the year has reached 301 jets.
Airbus had delivered 335 aircraft, 80% of them A320-family twin-jets, by 31 August.
