Aircell has introduced a new monthly subscription plan for its Gogo in-flight Internet service.
The new $34.95/mo pricing option can be used across the entire fleet of more than 800 Gogo-equipped aircraft.
Though redeemable on all equipped airlines, the monthly plan will initially be available for purchase on AirTran Airways, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Virgin America - all airlines that have installed Gogo on a high percentage of their fleet.
"Born out of a strong demand for Gogo's existing 30-day pass, the Gogo monthly subscription is the best value for frequent fliers who want to stay connected regardless of their airline choice," says an Aircell spokeswoman.
Passengers can purchase the Gogo monthly subscription through the Gogo in-flight portal. Aircell will also continue to offer Gogo passes for single flight segments, which start at $4.95.
