Pacific Simulators has signed an agreement with the Airline Academy of Australia (AAA) for the delivery and installation of a Boeing 737-800 simulator.
The simulator is part of an airline bridging programme by the AAA to address the shortage of pilots in Asia-Pacific region, says the New Zealand-based simulator manufacturer.
AAA intends to use the simulator for jet entry training, including jet orientation, multicrew and instrument training. It is also certified by Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority as a Category "B" synthetic trainer.
Brisbane-based AAA was established in 2005 by the Royal Queensland Aero Club and specialises in full-time pilot training.
