- Dutch carrier Martinair has named Paul Gregorowitsch, the commercial director of KLM's passenger division, as its new president. He will succeed Arie Verberk, who will retire.
- Spirit Airlines hired Martin Harrison away from easyJet to become the South Florida-based carrier's chief operating officer and executive vice-president. Harrison, who had been head of crew-resource planning and network operations for the UK's easyJet, will report directly to Spirit president Ben Baldanza.
- Austrian chief commercial officer Josef Burger has resigned from his position on the board after a difference of opinion over the way the management board members co-operate.
- American Airlines has promoted Mark Mitchell to the new position of managing director customer experience. He formerly headed up American's operations at Los Angeles Airport.
- Low-cost start-up carrier Macau Asia Express has appointed a former chief financial officer of Hong Kong-based Dragonair, Francis Wai, as its chief executive. The airline plans to launch services in early 2008.
