AlliedSignal and Techspace Aero Herstal of Belgium are to begin a long-term risk-sharing partnership on the AS900 engine programme.
Signed at the show, the arrangement covers the entire AS900 engine family programme from development and production through to overhaul and maintenance services.
The development and production side marks a major investment for Techspace Aero, while the maintenance part of the deal also covers repair and overhaul for AlliedSignal's regional turbofan engines.
Initially, the Belgian company will provide component repairs for the 502/507 family and the AS977 and starting in 2006, that will be extended to include repairs and overhaul for the AS977 regional engine.
