New Zealand-based Altitude Aerospace Interiors will complete the interior fitting of its first Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) aircraft.
The Boeing 737-700 aircraft has been modified for private use and fitted with auxiliary fuel tanks to extend the aircraft's range. It was delivered to its Christchurch facility after a flight from Los Angeles to Auckland.
The aircraft will, for the next 10 months, have its interior fitted with the latest in-flight entertainment and communication systems, and its exterior custom painted before the handover to its undisclosed owner, Altitude said in statement.
"Since entering the BBJ completion field and achieving some significant successes in the commercial airline side of our business, we have been able to grow and expand our operation," Altitude's general manager Michael Pervan said in statement.
"In just over two years, the Altitude team has doubled in size from 55 permanent employees to almost 100 engineering, design and programme staff, and we continue to welcome more high calibre individuals into the team."
Altitude is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Air New Zealand and provides premium aircraft furniture and interior systems for both private and commercial aircraft. It was formerly known as ANZES Design Engineering.
