Silver Arrow, the Israeli manufacturer of unmanned air vehicles (UAV), has purchased 80% of Alvis UAV Engines, its UK-based engine supplier. The Alvis 741 engine already powers the Hermes long-endurance UAV and the new Darter, to be unveiled at the Paris air show. Alvis will now become UEL, says Silver Arrow, which is, itself jointly owned, by Israel's Federman group and electronics manufacturer Elbit.
