Maintenance, repair and overhaul firm Ameco Beijing has expanded a maintenance contract with Air China to cover services for the carrier's Shanghai-based cargo joint venture with Cathay Pacific Airways.
The Beijing-based MRO company's Shanghai station is carrying out line maintenance and letter checks for Air China Cargo at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, says Ameco Beijing.
Air China Cargo, which is 51% owned by Air China, operates a fleet of eight Boeing 747 freighters, and will add four additional 747Fs over the next two years.
Ameco Beijing, a joint venture between Air China and Lufthansa, has established line maintenance stations in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Tianjin.
