Japan's All Nippon Airways, which is expecting to receive its first Boeing 787 aircraft in September this year, will operate its first revenue flight as a charter service between Tokyo's Narita airport and Hong Kong.
The flight will take off approximately one month after the delivery of the aircraft and will be available via a special package tour organised by ANA, the Japanese carrier said in a statement.
Following the charter service to Hong Kong, ANA will operate two domestic excursion flights to allow more customers to fly on the 787, according to the statement.
The domestic flights, which will only be made available to the Japanese carrier's frequent flyer members, will depart and land at Narita and last approximately an hour, the statement added.
After the charter flights, ANA's first 787 aircraft will be placed either on the Tokyo Haneda-Okayama or Tokyo Haneda-Hiroshima scheduled services.
