Commercial aircraft net orders came in at 164 for April 2013 with another 4 swaps.
In the highlights of the month, Turkish Airlines ordered 82 A320 family aircraft, including 57 for the neo variant. United Airlines placed an order for 30 Embraer 175s while Rwandair ordered a single Bombardier Dash 8.
New orders for Airbus totalled 82 while Boeing received 50. Embraer took in 30 orders while Cessna and Bombardier received one order each.
In the narrowbody market, in addition to the 82 A320s ordered, 50 Boeing 737 Max were ordered by a customer currently unannounced. In the regional market, the orders were for 30 175s, one Dash 8 and one 208 Caravan. No widebody orders occurred during the month.
Overall, the commercial aircraft order backlog ended April at 11,248, up 45 on the previous month.
