Air New Zealand (ANZ) has chosen the International Aero Engines (IAE) V2500 turbofan to power the 15 Airbus A320 family aircraft it is committed to, plus up to 20 options. ANZ has placed firm orders directly with Airbus for five of the 15 A320s to which it is committed and says the other 10 will be leased. First delivery is set for September 2003.
