Bankrupt carrier AOM-Air Liberté was given just three months' trading protection by a French court instead of the usual six months after detailing its losses to officials. The financially troubled regional carrier, whose Paris Orly base is said to be coveted by UK low-cost carrier easyJet, filed for bankruptcy on 15 June, ending months of speculation over its future prospects.
