Daniel Mandelli Martin, the president of Brazil's TAM, has resigned. Vice president Antonio Luis Teixeira has assumed the role of acting president. Martin, who has held the presidency since the death of his brother-in-law and TAM's founder Rolim Amaro in 2001, cites personal reasons for his departure. Gulf Air has recruited another executive from bmi british midland. The UK airline's chief pilot Captain Pete Mitchell follows former bmi operations director Richard Hill, who is general manager flight operations technical, to Gulf Air. James Hogan, Gulf's chief executive, was formerly chief operating officer at bmi. Ludmilla Lindecrantz has succeeded Eva-Karin Dahl, who has taken maternity leave from the airline, as the chief executive of Snowflake, the newly formed low-cost subsidiary of SAS Scandinavian Airlines. Airline consultants Seabury Group will make Washington consultancy the Airline Planning Group (APG) into a business unit. APG founders Stephen Still and David Bental will head the new Seabury Airline Planning Group, while Joel Antolini will work on airport projects. Both firms had worked on the US Airways restructuring.
