Aeroflot Russian International Airlines (ARIA) has revealed plans to re-establish many domestic routes and services to former Soviet republics. Leonid Mokhov, deputy head of marketing, says that the airline planned to double the number of passengers carried on domestic and regional routes, to 260,000 this year. "This market is very promising and we will develop it," says Mokhov. ARIA also plans to introduce direct international services from other major cities outside Moscow.
