The Ovation C Series cabin network has been selected for installation in the Gulfstream G150, Honeywell (booths 1038, 1994) announced yesterday.
Ovation C Series has been installed to date in more than 600 business aircraft from most of the leading manufacturers. The version selected for the Gulfstream 150 features new, lighter control and distribution units and integrated side-ledge passenger control units (PCU).
Based on the company’s CabinLan server/router, the network is designed to accommodate a wide variety of Honeywell and third-party systems for communications, entertainment, productivity and cabin environmental control. Typical capabilities include Honeywell’s OneView in-flight TV system, XM Satellite Radio, and Inmarsat and Iridium-based satellite communications.
The Gulfstream 150 application will feature PCU screens based on organic light-emitting diodes (OLED). Regarded as the latest in display technology, OLED screens offer improved resolution, high contrast and readability from most angles, higher reliability and longer service life.
The first Ovation C-equipped G150 is expected to enter service in the third quarter of next year.
