ASI Entertainment has hired IC Consulting Services (ICCS) to conduct an independent valuation of the firm's SafeCell aviation business, as part of a capaital raising programme.
SafeCell is billed as an alternative approach for passengers to use their cell phones on board aircraft without the requirement for installing complex GSM Picocell network infrastructure and jamming systems.
The software application is installed on a cell phone, which operates in flight or offline mode and takes control of the cell phone to communicate via Bluetooth.
Under the arrangement announced today, California-based ICCS will act as a non-exclusive advisor for ASI. ICCS's principal, Peter Foster, has been involved in capital raising for the aviation communication market for 10 years, says ASI.
