Aviation software system provider Air Taxi Distribution Systems (ATDS) is using Farnborough to release a new variant of its ATLAS global distribution system to air taxi and charter operators.

ATLAS - Air Taxi Logistics and Service tool - helps to market and schedule air taxi flights using an Expedia-type computer travel portal. Potential travellers can compare prices, availability and flight selection, while operators can use it to improve aircraft utilisation.

Private

ATDS (Hall 3, Stand C13) says that its new, 'private label' version of ATLAS will allow an operator to maintain its identity on the Internet while making use of the standardised computer architecture that ATDS is developing for the industry.

"Based on surveys we conducted with European and North American operators over the past two yearsÉ it became clear that many charter and air taxi providers have a strong preference to maintain their own branded web identities with our innovative booking engine," says ATDS chief executive Mark Sidebottom.
