The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) is investigating a fumes event involving a QantasLink Bombardier Dash 8 Q400, on 10 November.
The aircraft, registered VH-SBB, was on approach to Adelaide airport, when the flight crew noticed anomalies with the primary flight display and then detected fumes in the cockpit.
“The crew donned oxygen masks and the aircraft landed and stopped on a taxiway where the passengers disembarked,” adds the ATSB.
The bureau expects to complete the investigation by March 2017.
Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that VH-SBB is of 2000-vintage, and is owned and managed by Qantas.
