Saab Systems Australia has signed an A$83 million ($55 million) contract to provide extra Saab Bofors Dynamics RBS70 short-range air defence missile systems to the Australian Army. The systems are meant to expand holdings and to provide an interim replacement for the service's BAE Systems Rapier systems which reach the end of their service life in 2005.
