Gippsland Aeronautics holds letters of intent from Australian companies Grant Kenny Aviation and Airfreight Solutions for the Next-Generation Nomad.

The manufacturer of the GA8 Airvan utility aircraft has acquired the type certificate for the Nomad from Boeing Australia and plans to restart production of the twin-turboprop with new engines, propellers, a glass cockpit and weight-saving measures, including new batteries (Flight International, 17-23 June).

Fast-growing Queensland-based Grant Kenny Aviation, which is the country's biggest private aviation tour operator with a fleet of more than 50 aircraft, has a letter of intent for a multi-aircraft order. The other letter is held by New South Wales-based specialist air-freight operator Airfreight Solutions.
