Austrian charter company Amira Air is stepping up its marketing campaign in the USA in a bid to become the "operator of choice" for the country's charter customers.
The Vienna-based company will make its debut at the US National Business Aviation Association Convention & Exhibition in Orlando, Florida, which opens on 30 October, providing a platform for Amira Air to widen its exposure to the world's largest business and general aviation market.
Amira Air is the largest operator of Bombardier Challenger 300s in Europe, with a fleet of six of the super-midsize jets. The company also operates an ultra-long-range Global Express and a new-generation Global 6000 for nonstop flights between Europe and the USA. A light-cabin Hawker 400XP and a Cessna Citation CJ2+ complete its business jet line-up.
A superlight Citation Excel will be added to the fleet before the end of the year, while another Challenger 300 and a large-cabin Challenger 605 are earmarked for delivery in 2013, says Amira Air.
