BAE Systems (booth 3245) is showing off its new digitally fused sensor system camera. The company is hoping to market the device, which combines low light and infrared spectrum, says Eric Hansen, the company's business development director for the device. Users are shown an image that provides a high level of detail and depth perception, he says.
The camera weighs 144g and is about 2.5in (6.4cm) wide, Hansen says. It also consumes less than 2.5 watts of power. "We can go on the smallest of small UAV," he says.
Applications could include small military or civil unmanned aircraft.
