UK company Roke is promoting a new version of an automated product that is intended to simplify the task of analysing the countless hours of video footage captured by UAS and manned surveillance aircraft.

Dubbed VTA 2.0, the enhanced visual target analysis system automatically alerts an operator about moving vehicles and personnel as video footage is received in real-time. The technology also includes tracking and mapping functions, which allow the user to pass on the precise location of a potential threat.

Roke says the use of its system will reduce operator workload, and remove the risk of vital information being missed due to factors including fatigue and target fixation.

A member of the Chemring group of companies, Roke is promoting the development on the UK Trade & Investment stand.
