US fractional operator Avantair has signed its 100th share owner and taken delivery of its 13th Piaggio P180 Avanti twin-pusher turboprop.

The Caldwell, New Jersey-based company exclusively operates the Avanti, and has a further 34 aircraft on order.

Avantair has reached the 100-customer mark within two years of its formation, and claims to be the fastest-growing fractional provider in the USA.

The 100th customer is Phil Satre, chairman of casino operator Harrah's Entertainment.

A one-eighth share in a P180 costs $760,000, plus a $14,000 a month management fee, and provides the owner with 100h a year, with no hourly occupancy charge. Avantair bases its aircraft across the USA by time zone.
