British Airways has selected GDS Amadeus as its preferred partner for its distribution and customer service systems. Amadeus beat Sabre to win the contract. Amadeus will also take over the customer base of BA subsidiary Speedwing, which includes Olympic Airways. Amadeus has been tipped to win the IT contract for the new Internet site being developed by European airlines - led by BA.
